Meditation on the Face of Christ
2013
Materials: clay, foam, wire
![]() Meditation on the Face of ChristI chose to do this project as an artistic meditation on the face of Christ. I had been journeying through St. Ignatius' Spiritual Exercises. The contemplative parts of these exercises are somewhat visual. But, I've always had difficulty letting faces be present, in a sense. The reference I decided to use was a picture of a random guy off the internet for neck/head proportions then I tried to go with the flow from there. | ![]() Meditation on the Face of Christ |
